Pre/post op lymph drainage
Description
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a specialized massage technique that stimulates the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is responsible for removing waste, toxins, and excess fluid from the body. MLD uses gentle, rhythmic movements and varying degrees of pressure (usually light pressure) to encourage the flow of lymph fluid through the lymphatic vessels. It can help reduce swelling, improve circulation, and support the body's immune system. MLD is often used as a part of post-surgery recovery, or for certain medical conditions like cancer, lymphedema, and autoimmune conditions. It is typically performed by trained therapists who have expertise in lymphatic drainage techniques. Red light therapy is included. For those looking for MLD for post-surgery like tummy tucks, lipo, or even orthopedic surgery, choose the 30-minute or 45-minute Post-op MLD service. If you need fibrosis/scar tissue work with the MLD, book the 60-minute session. Please wait at least 21 days for fibrosis work. Depending on each person, you may need 2-3 sessions a week to prevent fibrosis and seromas.
